Our Ministry
Safe Families for Children, Virginia operates as one of the many sub-ministries of Patrick Henry Family Services, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to keeping children safe and families strong. The Virginia Safe Families chapter was a natural fit, and has grown into a strong, dynamic outreach.

Our team of trained, experienced, caring professionals are passionate about the mission of Safe Families for Children, and are available to help in whatever temporary crisis or situation a family may find themselves.
Patrick Neff
Director, Safe Families for Children, VirginiaAs Director of Family Placement at Patrick Henry Family Services, Patrick works to protect children and strengthen families through heading the ministry of Safe Families for Children. His experience with and great love for children brings strength to both his professional and personal life. He and his wife Debra have been married for 27 years and have 7 children…two biological and 5 adopted.
Ruby Caskey
Family Coach SupervisorIn her position as Family Coach Supervisor for Safe Families for Children, Virginia, Ruby lives out her passion for keeping children safe. She brings professional skills in the child welfare field, as well as personal experience. She and her husband Russ have been married for 45 years and have raised 5 children, 3 biological and 2 adopted. They have also served as house parents for residential care, and fostered numerous children.
